Volunteer Orientation Session
Please join THC for a VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION SESSION on March 13th, 2010 from 10:30am-11:30am.
The goals for THC Volunteer Orientation are:
•Have time for volunteers to meet THC staff and other volunteers
•Orientate volunteers to THC, our families, and our programs
•Provide education to volunteers on homelessness in DC and the issues facing the population we serve at THC
•Discuss all THC volunteers opportunities and how volunteers can engage with THC
•Introduce THC special events
•Answer questions and address volunteer concerns
•Have fun, enjoy some coffee/juice and doughnuts, and get to know new friends and faces in DC!
THC encourages ALL VOLUNTEERS, old and new, to attend volunteer orientation. We promise it will be an informative, productive, and fun morning. Please RSVP to this email to confirm your attendance. Volunteer Orientation will occur at THC’s Partner Arms 2 building at 4506 Georgia Avenue, NW, on the corner of Georgia Ave. and Allison Street, NW.
Volunteers are the backbone of many programs that THC provides for our families in transition. We simply could not do all that we do without the valuable investment of our volunteers’ time, talents and gifts. Many volunteers experience as much or more than what they give in return for their contributions to our residents and programs. THC provides a myriad of opportunities to make a lasting difference in the lives of the homeless. Please join us in our efforts in ending homelessness!
