“Our buildings have been for sale since 2006 and we have weathered the storm of more than one callous developer. Our tenant association has no partnered with THC Affordable Housing and Somerset Development with the goal of making Webster Gardens safe and affordable. Our buildings are in steady decline. The concrete on our stairs is crumbling and every time it rains, even a little bit, water seeps into our lower level putting our mechanical systems and residents at risk. The plaster on the walls and ceilings are crumbling, but we stay because it is affordable and our home and the senior residents, who are more than a quarter of our population, cannot imagine going anywhere else.”
