THC Affordable Housing, Inc.
THC Affordable Housing, Inc. (THCAH) was formed in 2005 to advance the mission of development of affordable housing for low to moderate income and at-risk families. THCAH is a District based, non-profit affordable housing developer and an affiliate of Transitional Housing Corporation (THC). As the economy deteriorates and the number of individuals and families without shelter increases, homelessness prevention advocates know that providing transitional and supportive housing is only the beginning to helping at-risk individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency. Affordable housing with supportive services is a critical key to ending homelessness.
In May 2011, THCAH and Somerset Development Company completed the extensive renovation of two affordable housing apartment complexes successfully developing a total of 114 units of affordable housing.
In January 2012, THCAH and Somerset Development Company received the Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits (JTC) 2011 Development of Distinction Award.
