Mission

Our Mission

Transitional Housing Corporation (THC) is a faith-based non-profit partnership that provides housing and comprehensive support services to homeless and at-risk families so that they can make transformational changes in their lives.

The mission of Transitional Housing Corporation is to help the program participants make transformational change in their lives through developing clear self-determination objectives and skills with the help of the supportive services. THC case management services concentrate on life skills and helping participants assess who they are, what they are doing and how they advance by taking one step at a time. Program participants set their own goals and advance through those goals to self-determination.

Each program participant, working with his/her case manager, determines his/her own goals and steps to those goals through a Family Treatment Plan. The program participant meets weekly one-on-one with the case manager [and substance abuse counselor, if needed] and also in groups to review the Family Plan and the goals that have been set and also the next steps that have been taken and need to be taken to achieve those goals to self-determination. THC has an excellent track record in encouraging full participation in its case management supportive services, averaging 100% participation for the past 10 years.
