Youth Enrichment Program
Volunteers are the backbone of our youth enrichment activities. Help us to sustain the programs that give Partner Arms children a chance to learn, explore their creativity, and just have fun. These activities make a difference to the children who benefit greatly from adult role models. Each Partner Arms facility stages a weekly youth activity on Tuesday or Wednesday nights. Volunteers assist THC staff by serving snacks, organizing materials and keeping the children engaged during these activities. If you would like to volunteer with the Youth Enrichment Program, please complete the volunteer application and security form and fax them to our Volunteer Department at (202) 291-0192. Adopt-an-Apartment
Homeless families entering the Partner Arms program have few possessions. Congregations, corporations, and social groups "adopt" an apartment by providing furniture to new residents. When families graduate they take all furnishings with them to their new residence. Another group then "adopts" the apartment as the next family moves in. If you, your congregation or your group would like to volunteer or Adopt and Apartment, contact our Volunteer Director (volunteer@thcdc.org 202-291-5535). You may also download the volunteer application, background/consent form from the links on the left hand side of this page. We look forward to spending time with you. 2007 Furnishing Congregations Maryland Christ Episcopal Church, Rockville Church of the Redeemer (Episcopal), Bethesda St. John's Episcopal Church-Norwood Parish, Chevy Chase | District of Columbia Christ Lutheran Church St. Columba’s Episcopal Church St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church St. Paul's Epsicopal Church-Rock Creek Parish St. Thomas Epsicopal Church | Virginia St. Francis Episcopal Church, Great Falls, Virginia |
