“The issue of affordable housing is a moral issue that will not go away in one of the most expensive housing markets in the country”

Bishop John Bryson Chane
2006 Address to Diocesan Convention

High rents and rapidly rising sales prices in much of the Washington region pose special challenges for low-income households, including the working poor. Affordable housing is the key to helping end homelessness in the Washington DC area.

THC Affordable Housing, Inc. is an affiliate non-profit of THC. The mission of THC Affordable Housing, Inc. is to develop affordable housing either through renovation, new construction or affordable housing preservation to meet the housing needs of very low, low and moderate income individuals and families in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

You can help us further this goal of development of affordable housing by contributing to the THC Affordable Housing Fund. For further information on our affordable housing efforts, contact Suzanne Welch, Director of Affordable Housing Development at swelch@thcdc.org.
